about

My family often makes fun of how cryptic I tend to be. This song was me wearing it on my sleeves. First released in 2010, this track has been remixed and remastered in 2016.

lyrics

And are we still awake?
There are things I have to say.
Been thinking what’s at stake.

Hear me and decide, then we’ll say that at least we tried.
I don’t know how we hide, look out the window, you can’t deny
As this house settles into stone, it’s like a soldier whose coming home.
I don’t know if it will stand ’til were old, that’s when you say ‘We’re good as gold.’

For years every step outside seemed a trap, every telephone ring - a chance to snap.
But I hope you know, you’re my way back.

And of course you’re so very right, for you to question my second sight.
What good is just to see only misstep and misery?
